Sierk Schröder Room in the Academy Building of the University of Utrecht

From the end of 2002 onwards the portraits of Utrecht Professors, painted by Sierk Schröder, are permanently shown in the Academy Building of the University of Utrecht in the so-called 'Sierk Schröder Room', named after the painter.

The Press release sent out by the University in connection with the death of Sierk Schröder quotes the painter:

When you are sure as a visual artist how to render the appearance in a recognizable way, then you will naturally catch a glimpse of what is hidden inside.
